Corn Bread Thanksgiving Dressing


Duration: 1 Hour 15 Minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients Required:
  1. One (16 ounce) package of dry corn bread mix 
  2. 1/2 cup of chopped celery 
  3. Two tablespoons of butter 
  4. One small onion 
  5. Two cups of chicken stock
  6. Two eggs, beaten 
  7. Pepper to taste and
  8. Two tablespoons of dried sage salt
Preparation Steps:

Step-1: As per the directions of the package, prepare the dry corn bread mix. Then cool it and crumble.

Step-2: Next, you need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and then grease the backing dish which is of 9x13 inch.

Step-3: Take a big skillet and melt butter and then cook the onion and celery on the medium heat till they become soft.

Step-4: Now, take a large bowl and mix all the celery, three cups of crumbled corn bread, onions, eggs, sage, chicken stock, salt and pepper well.

Step-5: Put the dish prepared with the ingredients in the oven and bake it for about 30 minutes. Finally take it out and serve it your guests.


2. Herb and Sausage Stuffing


This is a sweet stuffing which has all flavors that you will like it. Below are the preparation steps for this Thanksgiving dressing.

Duration: 1 Hour 22 Minutes

Servings: 8 to 10

Ingredients Required:
  1. Sixteen cups of one-inch bread cubes, white or sourdough (One 1/2 pound loaf)
  2. Two cups of medium-diced yellow onion (Two onions)
  3. Eight tablespoons of (One stick) unsalted butter
  4. One cup of medium-diced celery (Two stalks)
  5. Two tablespoons of chopped flat-leaf parsley
  6. Two Granny Smith apples, unpeeled, cored and large-diced
  7. One tablespoon of kosher salt
  8. 3/4 pound of sweet or spicy Italian sausage, casings removed
  9. One teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  10. One cup of dried cranberries
  11. One cup of chicken stock
Preparation Steps:

Step-1: Start with preheating the oven to 300 degrees F

Step-2: Take the bread cubes and put them on single layer over the sheet pan and then bake it for about 7 minutes. After that increase the temperature of the oven to 350 degrees F and take out all the bread cubes in to a bowl.

Step-3: Now in a big fry pan, melt some butter and add the ingredients like onions, apples, celery, salt, parsley and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat i.e., till the vegetables become soft. Next, add the bread cubes to it.

Step-4: In the same cooking pan, cook the sausage on the medium heat for 10 minutes i.e., till it is cooked and turns brown breaking the sausage using a fork while cooking. Next, add vegetables and bread cubes to it.

Step-5: Finally, add the cranberries and chicken stock to the above mixture and mix all of them well. Pour this complete mixture in to a 9x12 inch baking pan and bake till the top turns brown as well as hot in the middle i.e., for about 30 minutes and then serve it to your guests when it is warm.

3. Apple Cornbread Pecan Thanksgiving Dressing


This is such an awesome Thanksgiving dressing which would satisfy your guest’s appetite for sure. It is sweet in taste and smells good. This Thanksgiving dressing just takes few minutes for the preparation. So, absolutely do try it on Thanksgiving day this year.

Ingredients Required:
  1. One (9x9 inch) pan cornbread, cooled and crumbled 
  2. Two tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
  3. One (8 ounce) package of herb-seasoned dry bread stuffing mix 
  4. 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger 
  5. 3/4 cup of butter
  6. 1/2 teaspoon of salt 
  7. One cup of chopped celery 
  8. Two cups of chopped apples 
  9. One cup of chopped onion 
  10. Two cups of apple juice 
  11. 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
  12. Three eggs, beaten

Preparation Steps:


Step-1: At first preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and then butter a casserole dish which is of three quart.

Step-2: Now, melt the butter in a saucepan that is heavy and cook the onions and celery till they become tender i.e., for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Step-3: Take a big bowl and mix all the other ingredients cornbread, ginger, parsley, stuffing mix and salt. Next mix the onion and celery mixture, chopped pecans, chopped apple, beaten eggs and apple juice.

Step-4: Bake the mixture till the mixture is heated completely or till the top becomes brown in color i.e., for about 30 to 35 minutes.
